Just Who Shall be Slain Down to Hell?

Those who pander to the lustful, greed-filled, unrepentant hearts of those who have only a “form of godliness” are tapping into a financial fortune in this life and yet guaranteeing for themselves irreversible eternal misery (2 Timothy 3:1-8).

EVERYTHING in this life is fleeting – it is very temporary. If you truly believe that, you will cease striving to lay up for yourself riches in this life and strive to accomplish the things mere men count important here on earth. Remember, this life is the only thing unregenerate man has. He has no hope of the next life due to not being born again.  Those who love their life in this world will forfeit the blessed, blissful world to come with Christ. Jesus taught “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.” (John 12:25) A key phrase here is hating one’s “life in this world.” And why? – because “this world” is temporary and yet what we do here determines our eternal place.

Pandering to the temporary desires of men is a booming business these days. As Paul foretold of this last hour, people who vainly believe they are saved are heaping to themselves leaders who teach them what their unrepentant, unpurged hearts which to hear instead of the original Gospel message – death to self (2 Timothy 4:3-4). The want to go to Heaven but don’t want any part of the cross Jesus said must be taken up daily (Matthew 16:24-25). The church world is filled with greed-driven, Christ-denying, enemies of the cross in the pulpits and in the pews (Philippians 3:18-19). There are so very many beguilers and gullible, unrepentant religious dupes who are responsible for funding these greedy wolves. They have a mere “form” or façade or front of godliness and yet deny the authority or power of God to reign in their personal, daily lives (2 Timothy 3:5).

“But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.” Luke 19:27
