Prepare Now for the Days Ahead

PREPARE for your Future – GIVE. That’s right, give! God’s kingdom works usually opposite of the world system. God will preserve tomorrow those who steward today the monies He put in their hands now.

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.” 1 Timothy 6:17-19

“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” Proverbs 19:17

Now, read this treasure of a passage with me from Job 5 and watch the promises of God for those who walk with and obey Him:

Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: 18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole. 19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. 20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. 21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. 22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.” Job 5:17-22

  • Correction (v17)
  • Chastening (v17)
  • Blessed wounds (v18)
  • Healing (18)
  • Wholeness (18)
  • Protection in times of trouble (19)
  • Provision even in the land/time of famine (v20)
  • Deliverance from the sword of judgment even in time of war (v20)
  • Protection from strife and slander (v21)
  • Peace instead of fear (v21)
  • Joy and laughter in the time of destruction, famine and plague (v22)

One Source

ALL “sources” and institutions that have spent millions convincing people that they are the “safe” place to invest, will fail soon. Jesus is coming to change everything (2 Peter 3).  There’s only ONE unfailing Source. Whatever institution, bank, real estate, or otherwise you are investing monies into, will fail. There end is coming. But the LORD is our eternal Home and in Him our investments are safe, secure, and forever!

Give Generously, Don’t Withhold

“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. 25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. 26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.” Proverbs 11:24-26

Jesus taught that we should “Give”:

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38

Invest Ahead

What does God do when we give? – He lays up treasure for us in the place we shall be for eternity.

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matthew 6:19-22

Concerning giving, Jason LeMaire writes:

“God loves a ‘CHEERFUL’ giver–one who wants to give vs. one who feels they have to give!!”

Of the stewardship of our monies, the apostle Paul writes:

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-11

God says here that He gives seed to those who sow the seed He places in their temporal possession. That’s right – That which we give now becomes a seed that will spring forth into new life provisionally in the days ahead when/if famine hits and in eternal places with Christ!

WOW, look at this … Does stewarding monies have anything to do with the coming of Christ and how He is going to judge us concerning our giving of lack of giving? It sure does. Read this warning passage in James 5 carefully:

“Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. 4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. 5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. 7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.” James 5:1-9

In James 5, the LORD makes it clear that the monies we keep in our possession that we should/could have given, will be sit on the stand and witness against us in the Supreme Court of the Universe when we are judged.

Of giving, Brian Jones writes:

“Giving will set fire to your life! And we have so much need to reach many with the Gospel right here in the U.S. before it becomes a ‘Third World Country,’ and godless to boot!

We have so much freedom and everything we could ever hope for right here in the U.S. yet we are the greatest apostate branch of the Church today! We need not look back very far to see where we jumped the tracks! But for those of us who are truly Born Again and Repentant, we will be brought to a place in our spirit that will require nothing less than to Give and Give much! Our money, our time, whatever we can give to see the True Gospel of Christ preached today to a country of tens of thousands of buildings filled with dry bones on Sunday! Our mission field is Here. The time is now! Let’s do this!!”

The LORD bless each of us to fear His holy name and to walk in His wisdom, investing each day and each dollar wisely for His eternal glory!
